Brute Force Attack

An attack that systematically tries every possible combination to crack passwords or encryption keys. AES-256 with PBKDF2 at 100,000–500,000 iterations (as used by XColdPro) makes brute force computationally impossible — requiring more energy than the sun produces to exhaust the key space.
