Software Disclaimer

What XColdPro software does and does not guarantee, and which responsibilities stay with the holder in self-custody.

Self-custody means you hold the risk

The software protects key material through controls on hardware you supply. It cannot defend a machine that was already compromised before the wallet was created, and anyone who holds your seed can spend without it.

No absolute claims

Cold storage is a set of controls, not a guarantee. Encryption strength, air-gapped operation and the protocol layer each reduce specific risks; none of them removes the need for the operator to be careful.

Optional protections have trade-offs

Some protections are opt-in and change how recovery works — notably that enabling them trades portability for coercion resistance. The disclaimer states those trade-offs so the choice is made deliberately.
