ColdGuardian Hardware

Pre-configured SSD devices shipped with XColdPro BootVault already installed, so a cold-storage deployment boots straight into an air-gapped environment with no setup and no downloads.

What arrives

Each ColdGuardian is a security-focused SSD built by XDRIP Digital Management LLC and shipped ready to use: you activate the device with the BootVault edition you chose through the XColdPro portal, and the wallet environment is there. There is no assembly, no image to flash and no configuration step to get wrong.

Encryption on the device

Stored material is protected with AES-256 and a PBKDF2-derived key, using the cryptographic primitives specified in NIST FIPS 197 — the same standard the software editions build on.

Built to resist handling

The hardware is designed to stand up to physical as well as digital interference, and each unit carries the XColdPro insignia so an authentic device can be told from a counterfeit one.

Choosing the edition

ColdGuardians ship preloaded with Frost, HellBound or Nyxor, so the choice is the same one as for the software: the essential edition, the one that adds the emergency and inheritance protocols, or the one that carries the complete stack.

One device per cosigner

Citadel M-of-N approval needs a separate device for each participant, so multi-party setups are built by ordering one ColdGuardian per cosigner.
